We all have secret files that we don’t want anyone to look at. Most common way of hiding important files was either creating a folder inside a folder or some people change the folder type to hidden.
But both of these ways are not safe and anyone with little intelligent can easily find the folder you wish to hide.

Today, in this How to tutorial, I will show you how you can store your personal files inside an image so that who ever wants to find your folder will have a really hard time finding it.This method of hiding files behind Image is known as Stegnography.


To do this a basic knowledge of command prompt is sufficient. Even if you don’t have it, Don't worry About that, I will make sure that you don't face any problem.

So, Let's See how to do Hide files Behind Image :


Step1: First select an image beneath which you will hide the file you want.


Step2:Now select the file you wish to hide and keep both the files on desktop.You may do this anywhere instead of desktop if you have some basic understanding of command line.

Step4: Now convert the file in .RAR format using WinRar.Now you have two files.
One is the Image in that you want to hide your file and another is your file which you just converted into .RAR format.

Step5: Now Open Cmd.
Type the following Command
cd desktop
and press enter.

Step 6: Now Type Command Given Below:
Copy /b imagename.jpg + filename.rar finalimage.jpg

  • Replace imagename.jpg with the name of image you want your file to be hidden behind. Don't forget to add image format (Eg: .jpg,.png,.gif)
  • Replace filename with name of your file you want to hide. It must be in .rar format.
  • Finally Replace finalimage.jpg with whatever name you want your final image with hidden files should be. This is the image where your file will be hidden.
In my case it will be:
Copy /b images.jpg + lock.rar hidden.jpg

Now you will find a new image on your desktop named hidden.

★When You Will Try to Open This Newly Created Image It Will Open As Normal Image, To Open You Hidden File, Follow Steps Given Below.

Step1: Open winrar

Step2: Now locate your image and open it or simply drag your image in WinRar.


Step3: Extract the file and Now you can view your view hidden file.
